Denver, CO- The Colorado Democratic Party is pleased to announce the Democratic National Committee (DNC) has pledged to pay for four regional field coordinators for the State of Colorado.
"The addition of four regional field coordinators is an element to the Democrats commitment to building a strong grassroots structure throughout the state," said Pat Waak, Chair of the Colorado Democratic Party.
Governor Howard Dean was elected in February to lead the Democratic Party. Governor Dean ran for DNC Chair on the basis that Democrats needed to return to grassroots politics. The DNC is calling their plan "A 50 State Strategy".
The goal of the 50 State Strategy is to utilize local field organizers from Colorado to organize precincts throughout the entire state in order to win elections.
"Colorado is going to be at the center of the upcoming election cycle. It is clear that Governor Dean and the DNC are committed to putting resources in Colorado because we have proven that Democrats can win in Colorado," said Waak.
