Denver, CO - Over two hundred people came together today to demonstrate their dissent for Congressman Tom Tancredo and his latest ill-chosen remarks regarding bombing of Islamic Holy sites.

Congressman Tom Tancredo was once a man known only for his irrational immigration policies. Now Tancredo is known nationally for throwing out an idea that Americans should respond to terrorism by bombing Islamic Holy sites, specifically he mentioned bombing Mecca.

Democrats and Republicans, Muslims and Latinos, Men and Women joined together to declare that Tom Tancredo does not speak for them.

"The only message Tancredo has to offer is one of hate," said DNC Member Ramona Martinez. "While there are many good representatives in Washington working towards sensible foreign policy and immigration policy, Tancredo divides this state and this country with his nonsensical rhetoric."

The Stop Tancredo Campaign promised to work tirelessly to educate people of the facts of both immigration and terrorism. And with the support of many groups and organizations they are hoping to get Tancredo out of public office.
