Denver, CO – The National Hispanic Leadership Agenda (NHLA), a nonpartisan coalition of major Hispanic national organizations and distinguished Hispanic leaders from across the country, gave Congresswoman DeGette and Congressman Udall a high rating for the first and second sessions of the 108th Congress in their latest Congressional scorecard yesterday.

The NHLA compiled the legislative scorecard to inform Hispanics about United States Senate and House members' record on issues of importance to the Hispanic communities. Colorado Democratic Party Chair, Pat Waak issued the following statement congratulating DeGette and Udall for their 100 percent scores and their ongoing commitment to securing basic civil rights and providing a better quality of life for Hispanics and all Americans.

The NHLA scorecard is based on votes on a diverse set of issues that have a direct impact on Hispanics and their fmilies. DeGette and Udall consistently voted in favor of helping the Hispanic community move ahead on issues ranging from education, health care, economic mobility, workforce and civil rights.
