Colorado Democratic leaders To Host "Celebrating Democratic Women" event PDF Print E-mail

Denver, CO - On Tuesday, November 29, 2005, the Colorado Democratic Party will be gathering at an evening reception "Celebrating Democratic Women." The reception is hosted by U.S. Rep. Diana DeGette; President of the State Senate, Joan Fitz-Gerald; Majority Leader of the State House, Rep. Alice Madden; and Colorado Democratic Party Chair, Pat Waak.

Chair Pat Waak said "It so happens that our event is occurring at the same time that President Bush is in Denver. While his disapproval level in Colorado is at 58%, the President will travel to Colorado to headline a fundraiser for Rep. Marilyn Musgrave. And the Colorado Democratic Party will be honoring the true women heroes from the state of Colorado who are working every day to promote the issues women care about: education, health care, jobs and peace."

Tomorrow night's event will be held at the Blair-Caldwell African-American Research Library in Denver from 5:30-7:30pm. For more information, call the Colorado Democratic Party headquarters.
