Denver, Colorado - In an invitation to his Colorado 2008 Republican Senate Steering Committee, Bob Schaffer announced that the committee meeting will be held in Washington, D.C. today. The Colorado Democratic Party questions his choice of location and the message it may send to Colorado voters.

"Is Schaffer only interested in listening to the 'Republican Old Guard?' asks Colorado Democratic Party Chair, Pat Waak. "We think that it is very peculiar for him to hold his meeting in D.C. instead of relying on the wisdom of the Colorado voters."
