Democrats Finally Doing What Republicans Failed To Do
Yesterday the Democratically controlled Senate passed legislation to implement the recommendations of the 9/11 Commission to make America safer. House Democrats passed the same legislation earlier this year. Despite controlling Congress for more than 5 years after September 11th, the Republican Party had failed to implement the recommendations of the 9/11 Commission which would strengthen security at our nation's transportation system and make America safer.
Governor Ritter To Participate in Electronic Town Hall Meeting
Governor Bill Ritter joins Aaron Harber on Wednesday, March 21st at 10:00am, for a special one-hour taping for broadcast on KBDI-TV Channel 12's "The Aaron Harber Show." The Governor will discuss the first half of his inaugural legislative session and talk about how his vision for Colorado is being implemented. He also will answer questions from citizens across the State. If you'd like to submit a question, email RitterQ@HarberTV.com by 7:00pm next Tuesday, March 20.
Colorado's Delegate Selection Plan
Colorado is allocated 71 delegates to the 2008 DNC Convention. Sixteen of those delegates are DNC members, elected officials and a former DNC Chairman, Roy Romer. On Monday, March 19, 2007 the draft delegate selection plan will be going to members of the Colorado Democratic Party's State Central Committee for a review. If you are interested in discussing the plan, contact your local county Democratic Chair.
Colorado Renewable Energy Summit
This year's Summit is co-sponsored by Senator Salazar, Senator Allard, Governor Ritter, Mayor Hickenloooper, Representatives DeGette, Udall, Musgrave, Salazar and Perlmutter, Colorado Senate President Fitz-Gerald and Colorado Speaker Romanoff and a broad range of Colorado non-profits and businesses. The Summit will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2007, in the Wells Fargo Theatre, Colorado Convention Center from 9:00am to 5:00pm.
Last year, we had more than 500 attendees. This year, they have moved to a larger facility and have nearly unlimited capacity, but attendees must pre-register at:
