Democrats continue gearing up for November Elections
(DENVER) - The Colorado Democratic Party announced today that Lauren Rose has
joined the Party as Communications Director to focus on the 2008 general election
campaign.
"2008 will be an historic year for Democrats in Colorado and across the
country, and we are excited to have Lauren on our staff as we begin gearing
up for the November election," Colorado Democratic Party Chair Pat Waak
said. "We have many great Democratic candidates on the ballot in Colorado,
and with Lauren's experience we will reach out to voters across the Centennial
State to highlight the candidates and their positions on the issues important
to Coloradans."
"The excitement in Colorado right now is phenomenal. Voters are paying
more attention to this election than usual as they look for change in Washington
and Denver," Lauren Rose said. "I look forward to helping elect the
Democratic candidates up and down the ballot that share their values with everyday
Coloradans."
Rose most recently served as Iowa Communications Director for New Mexico Governor
Bill Richardson's campaign for President. Previously, she worked for a nationally-respected
Democratic direct mail firm, General Wesley Clark's 2004 Campaign for President
and on numerous statewide campaigns in Texas.
Also joining Lauren Rose in the Communications Office will be Press Assistant
Graham Waak. Waak, like so many other Americans this year, is joining the party
as a first-time activist/staffer, inspired to make a difference.
