DEFEND or DODGE: Trump Pushed to “Slow The Testing Down” As Coronavirus Spread Throughout U.S.
Gardner Refuses to Hold Trump Accountable for Botched Coronavirus Response and Testing Failures
Denver, CO – This weekend President Trump said he pushed to “slow the [coronavirus] testing down,” and Senator Cory Gardner is silent — failing yet again to hold the Trump administration accountable for their failed coronavirus response, even as many states see a spike in new reported COVID-19 cases and a possible second wave of cases looms.
Will Gardner defend or dodge? Trump pushed to “slow the testing down,” even as some states report spikes in new cases and coronavirus continues to plague the country.
Trump refused to clarify during an interview with former Colorado reporter Joe St. George today:
It has been widely reported that “the U.S. was not only late getting started but is still way behind” in COVID-19 testing and Trump’s “testing fumbles” and waste of “precious time” failed to prepare for the pandemic, but No Comment Cory still refuses to hold the Trump administration accountable for their blunders in Washington. Gardner and Senate Republicans even “resisted” including testing funding in a recent COVID-19 relief package.
No Comment Cory’s silence on Trump’s testing failures should come as no surprise as he has blindly stood with Trump “100%” throughout his botched coronavirus response and lawsuit to overturn the Affordable Care Act in the middle of the pandemic.
So, will Gardner defend Trump’s staggering admission that he pushed to “slow the testing down,” or will he keep dodging?
