The Gender Equity and Workplace Safety Commission was created by state party chair Morgan Carroll in the wake of the #MeToo movement. It will make recommendations to the Colorado Democratic Party on its workplace employment policies and candidate training materials, as well as concrete steps the Party can take to encourage compliance by campaigns.
A survey will be released on social media channels and through our email list in early February. Age, gender, sexual identity, race, disability status, and the pay gap are some of the variables the Commission will study. Collaboration with the Commission is strictly confidential, and care will be taken to protect the respondent’s privacy in survey results.
The findings and recommendations will be shared by the end of April, with resources for campaigns made available by June 1. Stakeholders are encouraged to reach out to the Gender Equity and Workplace Safety Commission via the confidential form below.
