Stonewall Dems
Since our founding in Los Angeles in 1975, Stonewall Democratic Club has been the home for progressive Democrats who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and straight allies of the LGBT community.
We are the first “Stonewall Democratic Club” in the country established for gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender individuals and our straight allies committed to achieving equality for all and to advancing progressive and feminist values through the Democratic Party. Stonewall is an all-volunteer grassroots non-profit political organization and is among the largest Democratic Clubs in California.
Stonewall membership is open to all Democrats, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity.
We are actively involved in all levels of the political process: local, state & federal.
Young Dems
The Colorado Young Democrats is the official statewide organization representing Young Democrats all across Colorado. Our organization represents more than 20 chapters from each part of the state.
The Colorado Young Democrats (CYD for short!) are represented by a 9 member executive board. Each memember oversees a specific area and is elected to a two year term. During an election, any eligible members of CYD can run to serve in this capacity. To learn more about CYD, check out our constitution!
We work to further the principles of the Democratic Party by promoting Democratic values and candidates in the state, supporting activities that encourage Young Democrats to become engaged in the democratic process, and supporting Young Democrat organizations across the state.
We do this by building relationships with and serve as a conduit between Young Democrats and Democratic Party leaders and elected officials, get out the vote efforts, and serving as a resource to new and existing Young Democrat organizations in the state.
