WHAT DO PRECINGT ORGANIZERS DO, AND WHY DO THEY MATTER?

POs serve a two-year term, they are either elected during the Precinct Caucus or appointed by the Party Chair.

If you are a Democrat who registered (or pre-registered) at least 22 days prior to the Precinct Caucus and resides in their precinct, you are eligible to become a Precinct Organizer.

Precinct Organizers are voting members of the County and State Party. They help determine the Party’s direction and platform.

Organized precincts perform 3% better at the ballot box for Democratic candidates and Democratic-backed ballot measures.

Precinct Organizers reflect the concerns and values of their neighbors. They communicate with their neighbors from a position of trust and familiarity and serve as a liaison of the party in their neighborhoods.

Precinct Organizers are one of the most essential components of the Democratic Party as it exists today and is more important today than ever.
