Denver, CO – Today, after negotiations with members of the U.S. House and Senate, President Biden announced a framework for the Build Back Better Act that includes historic investments in early childhood education, expanded access to health care, and combating climate change while creating jobs.

Signaling that he is “confident” that the bill can pass both chambers, President Biden touted that the Build Back Better Act, combined with the Bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, will “fundamentally change the lives of millions of people for the better”.

Morgan Carroll, Chair of the Colorado Democratic Party:

"Today’s announcement from President Biden is welcome news for Colorado’s working families. With this framework, President Biden and Democrats are on the verge of passing generational legislation that will grow the economy, cut taxes for low-income and middle-income families, create millions of jobs, and tackle the climate crisis. Meanwhile, all Republicans can do is go to bat for billionaires and the biggest corporations, all while disparaging tax cuts for working people.

"Universal pre-k education, tax cuts for low-income and middle-income families through extended Child Tax Credits and Earned Income Tax Credits, expanded affordable health care coverage, a historic investment to make housing more affordable, and the largest federal legislative effort to combat climate change in our country’s history that will create good-paying union jobs? This is a major win for Colorado and the American people. Obviously, these negotiations have been a lot of work, and it shows we elected the right people to get it done."
