Colorado Democratic Party Statement on President Joe Biden’s Victory in Colorado’s Democratic Presidential Primary
March 5th, 2024
DENVER – Today, Colorado Democratic Party Chair Shad Murib, 1st Vice Chair Indira Duggirala, and 2nd Vice Chair Scott Mangino released the following statements on President Joe Biden’s victory in Colorado’s Democratic Primary:
“Today, Colorado voters once again displayed that we are energized and ready to send President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris back to the White House. Thanks to President Biden, Space Command will continue to call Colorado Springs its home, thousands of jobs have been created in rural and metropolitan areas alike, and inflation is down. Donald Trump doesn’t just take credit for the failures of his administration – he’s promising to double down on overturning Roe v. Wade, putting his politics ahead of our national security, and doing even more harm to our public lands. With so much at stake, Coloradans are ready to reject Donald Trump’s agenda once again and reelect President Biden and Vice President Harris this November,” said Shad Murib, Colorado Democratic Party Chair.
"Congratulations to President Biden on his decisive victory in the Colorado Democratic primary. His triumph signifies a rejection of the dark path promised by Trump—a path of endangering abortion rights, expanding his anti-immigrant and anti-refugee policies, and prioritizing irresponsible big corporations over the well-being of our community. Tonight, communities across Colorado came together to support Joe Biden and Kamala Harris as we prepare to defeat Donald Trump yet again,” said Indira Duggirala, Colorado Democratic Party 1st Vice Chair
"President Biden's victory in the Colorado Democratic primary is a recommitment to our fight for justice. It's a rejection of Trump's vision of a future marred by threats to abortion rights, a disregard for the rule of law, and favoritism towards profit-driven corporations at the expense of Coloradans. Today, we embrace a future where our values shine brighter than ever. We’re looking forward to building an even bigger coalition that rejects Trump’s MAGA values once and for all,” said Scott Mangino, Colorado Democratic Party 2nd Vice Chair.
