GOP Senate Frontrunner Ron Hanks Cosponsors Extreme Bill to Abolish Abortion in CO

Repro rights groups call out Hanks for wanting to make abortion illegal

Denver, CO On the same week of the anniversary of the Roe v. Wade decision, state Representative and leading GOP Senate candidate Ron Hanks cosponsored an extreme bill to abolish all abortion in Colorado – and reproductive rights groups are calling him out for it.

In Hanks’ launch video, he labeled himself as a “defender of the unborn” and now he’s using his platform as a state Representative to threaten reproductive rights.

Cobalt Advocates and COLOR Action Fund called out Hanks on social media for attacking abortion rights in Colorado.

While the conservative majority in the Supreme Court decides the fate of Roe v. Wade this year, Hanks’ extreme bill is especially dangerous for Coloradans who are fighting to protect their rightful access to abortion. See all of the far-right bills Hanks is sponsoring or cosponsoring so far in the 2022 legislative session HERE.
